. 25 of rain now. we can use it. It has let up, I think I'll go collect eggs why it isn't raining so hard. It's still raining quite a bit. My old hens all think they need to lay in the same box. To avoid broken eggs I collect them at 7:30 and 9:00. It is chilly. I started the pellet stove,
Maegin cleaned up the brush from the dogwood tree and the pile of bamboo, Then she weed whacked. Next week she'll cut the rest of the bamboo and the broken honeysuckle. I snipped the shoots that were already coming up where I had cut bamboo. I got more ground covered with cardboard and hay to smother it. Bekah, Maegin and I spent some time looking around and talking about what I'm going to plant and where now. The trees and the rose bush will grow back. Meanwhile the hosta isn't very happy.
Jay covered a piece of plywood with yellow sticky cards. Heather held it why he put his leaf blower on low and blew cucumber beets onto it. They got so many beetles they had to put new sticky cards on the plywood. When they were done there were very few beetles left on the summer squash.. Now they wait and see how many there are Monday when it is dry again. Jay still has remay on the cucumbers. They are a self pollinating variety.
.28 and it has stopped raining for now. May your day be blessed, Sally
