6/7/25  No amount of regret changes the past.  Anxiety cannot change the future.  But any amount of gratitude  changes the present.

.14 rain overnight.  Air Quality alert.  Showers this morning, enough rain this afternoon to wash the smoke out of the air.  A SSW breeze, a high of 70, low of 56.  Sunshine tomorrow with a brisk NNE breeze, a high of 77, a low of 52.  Partly cloudy Monday with a brisk SE breeze, a high of 74, low of 71.  Afternoon showers Tuesday with a SE breeze, a high of 64, low of 55.  Partly cloudy Wednesday with a stiff WSW breeze, a high of 78, a low of 58.  Sunshine Thursday with a light west wind, a high of 77, low of 57.  Partly cloudy Friday with a stiff NW breeze, a high of 72, low of 52.  Perhaps PM showers next Saturday with a NE breeze, high of 69, low of 52.  Partly cloudy the week of the 15th with WSW breezes.  Highs in the low to mid seventies the first three days, upper seventies to 80 the end of the week. Lows in the mid to upper fifties.

The memory garden is planted and mulched.  Just a small garden off the back door.  It overlooks the cemetery.  Heather took the tulip bulbs.  There isn't room to leave the tulip leaves long enough to make  food for next year's bulbs. Maegin planted and mulched the sunflower patch in front of the horse barn.  We started sunflowers for the patch, the plants liked the gentle rain we got last night.  Most of the flowers I plant come from Bekah's "ICU" but they all look good too.
It is time to trim the blossoms on the lilacs.  Lilacs  start forming next year's blossoms quickly, the window to cut off the old blossoms is very short.    Lilacs should be deadheaded immediately after blooming to encourage good bud development and flowering the following spring.
Today I'm going to plant some borage in my strawberry bed.  Borage attracts pollinators and beneficial insects.  I'd plant some marigolds with the strawberries but there aren't any in "ICU" Strawberries like thyme and sage too.
May your day be blessed, Sally
