5/30/25 If you have power to make someone happy do it.  The world needs more happiness.

Clouds, a gentle SW breeze, 58 degrees.  Cloudy today with a SW breeze, a high of 75.  Partly cloudy skies this evening, occasional showers after midnight. A low of 54.  Rain early tomorrow with afternoon/evening showers.  A stiff ESE breeze with a high of 59, a low of 42. Mostly cloudy Sunday with a strong SW breeze, a high of 63, a low of 47.  Partly cloudy Monday with a stiff WSW breeze, a high of 69, a low of 47.  Partly cloudy Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with brisk SW breezes, highs in the eighties, a low of 54 Tuesday, 60 Wednesday and Thursday. Mostly cloudy next Friday with a WSW breeze, a high of 77, a low of 58.  Partly cloudy next weekend with a NW breeze Saturday, a SE breeze Sunday.  Highs in the mid seventies, lows of 55 and 58.  Partly cloudy on the 9th and 10th with highs near eighty.

     Not as warm yesterday but pleasant working in the gardens weather.  Plenty of black flies, though they didn't seem as bad.  I got a perm so I didn't get much garden work done.  Maegin got the red, white and blue petunias planted around the flagpole.  Planting vegetables is tops on the list in the nursery.

  The firepit I bought with my visa reward points came yesterday.  It was in a heavy cardboard box.  Cardboard that will do a good job smothering the bamboo we are fighting in the backyard.  We cut the bamboo, cover it with cardboard and put the hay we banked the house with on top of the cardboard.  Then keep cutting the bamboo shoots that manage to find a way to grow.
