Thursday evening at about six we got an email that the seed potatoes were at the warehouse ready to be picked up starting yesterday.  Jay was at the door when the warehouse opened yesterday morning.  It was all hands on deck cutting and planting potatoes!  Gilbert was here to get his potatoes.  Gilbert had tilled the soil Thursday night so it was ready.  All of our potatoes got planted.  Gilbert got his planted too.
Not only did the potatoes get planted but the soil acidifier got put on the blueberries and the straw got laid for planting the carrots next week.   UPS delivered the Degroot order about eight last night.  They already got the boxes moved out to the greenhouse and Bekah is checking the plants out.  They will get them planted today.  They will start transplanting the cole crop seedlings.  Bekah is carrying them out to the greenhouse now.  She started them on the shelves in the laundry.
Doug spread fertilizer on his hay fields all day yesterday and was spreading at daylight this morning.  Just now as he was going through the yard he told Bekah he was going to get it all spread before the rain started.  Maegin didn't help plant potatoes.  She spent the day planting  squash seeds  in four inch pots.  Squash plants for us and to sell.  There is a place all set up in the greenhouse for Ruby to play.
It is good the rain has held off this morning. Lots of odds and ends have gotten done.  I've taken care of the hens, now I'm going to fill the bird feeders. Everyone will stop for breakfast when the rain starts.  May your day be blessed.  Sally
