Yesterday morning didn't start well. Not only was winter back with snow and a cold wind but the furnace wasn't working in the new greenhouse. Bekah left a message on Valley Home Heating's machine and started scrambling to get propane and electric heaters going. Valley Home Heating returned Bekah's call. Even though they weren't open they quickly had a man on his way out. It was the thermostat, a new thermostat that was defective. The serviceman called the office, they sent a man right out with another thermostat. While waiting for the thermostat the serviceman had the furnace running, warming up the greenhouse. Soon the tomatoes were happy, so were the other plants and Jay and Bekah! By ten am the tomatoes looked fine! We are very fortunate Valley Home Heating has such wonderful service. This morning when Bekah checked the greenhouse they were all warm!
Bekah and Doug left to deliver hay. They dropped off my taxes , I was very happy not to have to go to Holden. It wasn't much out of their way. The sun came out so Jay was busy opening up vents and shutting off heaters even though the north wind was still blowing. He and Maegin transplanted tomatoes. When Bekah and Doug got home Jay and Bekah loaded the hay trailer for another delivery this morning.
After my nap I was feeling good so I went to Ocean State. It was the last day of last week's sale. I got 4 100 foot collapsible hoses for $22.95 each. Heather had gotten 2 50 foot hoses for 29.95 each. We don't get much more than a year out of them but they make watering so much easier. It was worth the trip just to get them but I also got a rug to go under the picnic table 50 % off.
May your day be blessed, Sally
