Our schools are being let out at noon so the buses can get the kids home before the roads get slippery. I'm not sure I think letting them out is necessary. They must figure better safe than sorry. The house is chilly this morning. Maegin had -12 at her house. Maegan is working with Heather at the flower shop again today. I'm coming down with a cold, she is going to get me some elderberry syrup at the Natural Living Center on their way home.
Bekah sent in the last seed order yesterday. Gilbert's carrots turned out so well last year that Jay wants to grow the same kind. The breeder is no longer producing the cucumber seeds we prefer. Bekah ordered some different varieties to try. We'll still have the dependable Marketmore cucumbers.
Northeast weather posted his guess for March. Colder than average. His February forecast of cold seems to be accurate.
I'm going to bake Gilbert an applesauce cake, today is his birthday. I turned the pellet stoves up this morning and opened the draft on the cook range. I'm baking the cake in the electric oven, that will put more heat in the house. The cook stove is burning too hot to cook an applesauce cake.
Stay warm and may God bless you, Sally
