I think my wind gauge is frozen. Looking out the window I can see blowing snow, the gauge says zero. It is 23 degrees.
I spent an hour and a half in the kitchen garden yesterday. I'd been throwing seeds on the snow because some feeders were askew thanks to the heavy snow. The honeysuckle vine was over and in the waterer. All was set to right and I put out another suet feeder. The birds are thankful this morning.
The inflation fan for the new greenhouse came at four yesterday afternoon. Too late to put it in. It is the second fan the supplier sent us. Who knows what happened to the first fan. Snow needs to be removed before the plastic can be inflated. Jay doesn't want to remove it until the fan is in place because it is giving the plastic protection for now. We will be praying for the greenhouse all day.
Bekah just headed to the hen house with a teakettle of hot water. If the hens don't drink enough water the eggs will be mediums instead of large. When the water has ice in it they don't drink as much. She'll collect any eggs there are. I'll go out in a few hours.
May God bless and keep you today, Sally
