It rained all day yesterday with a south wind.  According to the thermometer it was a warm rain but it seemed wet and chilly.  It was warm enough so Bekah had to change the light bulbs in the brooder to a lower wattage. It was warm inside as the greenhouse crew took the morning off to clean the garage so it would be available as an overflow for today's picnic.  The contents of more moving boxes found homes.  I cooked potatoes and eggs for potato salad today.  Bekah did take time to plant some seeds.
Early evening bought what we had all been waiting for.  Christy and her husband arrived from Alaska.  lots of visiting, with Christy's baby bump lots of talk about babies!  Chrisy and Jameson had flown into Boston, rented a car and driven to Tiffany and Evan's in Rhode Island.  Tiffany and Even came with them for the weekend.  Today will be a special family day with lots of visiting.  and the first family cookout of the 2024 season.
Bekah and Jay will be here today if anyone wants any Coast of Maine soils  or garden seeds.  The greenhouse will officially open next Tuesday, the 16th.
May God bless you on this day.  Sally
