9/27/20  Simple rule, if you wouldn’t like it done to you don’t do it to others.

The weekend will be pleasant with NW breezes, highs in the low sixties and lows about 40.  Pleasant fall days from the 5th through the weekend of the 10th and 11th.  NW breezes with highs in the upper fifties and lows in the upper thirties or low foties.

Darel had a pleasant day yesterday.  He went for a scooter ride mid day.  My day went well.  I picked a lot of squash.  I'll finish picking it today. Some of yesterday's went in the greenhouse, some on the stand.  All of today's will go in the greenhouse. The grandkids that like winter squash will get some to put away for winter.
One cooler left with red potatoes in it.  I washed the rest, put a handful of baking soda in each one and two empty ice jugs in some and put them away until next summer.  Over the winter I will make sure each cooler has two jugs so we are ready for summer. it will come again!
Last night I canned pears.  Most of the pears are small so the jars don't add up very fast.  I'll do more today and finish them tomorrow.  I'm glad I was able to freeze a lot of peaches and some .  Due to the dry weather there weren't a lot of berries.
Church this morning.  Last day of the season for the Maze and the nursery.  A busy afternoon picking the rest of the squash and other odds and ends from the garden.  Enjoy your day, I'll enjoy mine, Sally
