Darel had another good day yesterday, glad to get out of the house for a ride to the Creamery in the evening.
The birds love the garden pond. Unfortunately they have been sitting on the rocks and dropping poison night shade  seeds down between the rocks.  I only realized a few days ago that it was growing there and how rampant the vines had grown.  They had grown out of the rocks in several directions and wound all through the honeysuckle tree.  Yesterday I got rid of as many as I could, cutting them out of the tree and pulling them from between the rocks.  I couldn't get all the roots so I'll have to keep after them.  The vines were covered with potato bugs.  Until I saw all the bugs I hadn't thought  about potatoes being in the same family.  As i was digging potatoes I saw a  place that I had cleaned the nettles out of had more growing.  I had put down some paper and hay on the spot,  yesterday I cover the area with lots of hay and cardboard.
Tamarra weeded and mulched the shrub display area.  An all day job but it looks so nice now.  She put feedbags under the mulch, hopefully it will stay looking good for awhile.  Only one row of shrubs left.  Neither of us had much fun but we agreed yesterday was a good day.  Today Sally Jo and I are going to work on the display area under the heart nut trees.  Tomorrow we'll be able to enjoy the rain.
     Have a good day, Sally
