Yesterday went well with church in the morning.  The Red Sox game was interesting but didn't turn out very well.
My afternoon was very quiet.  Big Mike and his girlfriend Jess came up and put props under my peach tree.  We visited for a bit.  Gilbert came down and told us about their vacation.  Andrew bought some more wood for the greenhouse.  A yellow birch he was cleaning up for a camp owner.  A tree removal company had been hired to cut it down because it was threating a camp.
I pruned the vines around the front room window, still have the one around the bedroom window to do.  My house plants tend to get neglected in the summer.    I'm going to try to discipline myself this fall and not turn the house into a jungle.
The cole crops are planted along a lane, that way I can put the sprayer in the tractor bucket and spray the plants with BT to make the cabbage worms get sick and drop to the ground. BT bacteria only affects the worms  Putting the sprayer on my back and going out to spray is a "used to".  Last night I sprayed for the worms.
Peppers and onions go on the stand today.  As well as broccoli and cauliflower.  I don't have a lot but Heather will have some when mine is gone.
Thanks to the rain Nicole has some more beet greens.  The stand is getting crowded.
I'm planning on a good day, hope yours is too.  Sally
