Yesterday started out slowly for Darel but by afternoon he was getting up ok and he was able to get in the truck for hs Creamery run with no help last night.
It took me awhile to harvest and get the cucumbers and squash on the stand, they, especially the cucumbers were pretty muddy.  Probably the same today, that's ok, i don't need to run the soaker hoses.   Heather bought some tomatoes for the stand.  Darel has been getting one for lunch from the hoop house.  I'll pick some peppers today.  Despite the early attack by aphids they are doing ok.
I did get to do some work in the kitchen garden.  This morning I'm enjoying the the front of the horse barn.  No burdocks and weeds, just sunflowers with their blossoms all turned toward the morning sun.  A few blossoms are showing in the Sunflower Maze.  The maze sunflowers are not as tall as they should be, we're hoping this rain makes them grow,
I had a chicken die, put it in a grain bag by the door for Doug to take down to the woods.  Yesterday morning the bag was empty, Doug saw feathers down in the woods when he was building fence.  A good thing I lock the hens in at night!
I'm expecting to have a good day, hope you have a good day too.  Sally
