7/29/19
Its the friends along the way that help us appreciate the journey.

Calm, very few thin clouds, and 66 degrees. Partly cloudy today with a WSW breeze, a high of 87 and a low of 65.  Mostly sunny tomorrow with a brisk SSW breeze, a high of 91 and a low of 67.  Afternoon thunderstorms Wednesday lasting into the night with a SW breeze, a high of 85 and a low of 62.  Sunny Thursday with a NW breeze, a high of 81 and a low of 57.   Sunny Friday and Saturday with WSW breezes, highs about 85 and lows about 60.  Some clouds Sunday with a light NNW breeze, a high of 83 and a low of 60.  Sunny next Monday with a light west breeze, a high of 82 and a low of 60. Unsettled weather the rest of the week with highs about eighty.  Pleasant the weekend of the 10th and 11th with highs in the upper seventies and lows about 57.
Darel's day was quiet.  No church, I had to water all day.  Between haying and watering  we were so pushed none of us stopped to visit.  He was ready to go to the Creamery last night even though there was a thunderstorm warning.  We headed over and he changed his mind so we headed back with it raining os hard I could hardly see the road.  We weren't home long before the storm moved on and he decided we should head for the Creamery again.  Made it the second try.
First cutting is done thanks to a hard working hay crew. That doesn't include me, haying is one of my "usetas".
Even the old Farm All C Doug has for sale came out of retirement and raked hay! Doug backed the baler under cover and said, "let it rain." It wasn't very long and we got .28 inch of rain with lots of thunder and lightening. And we were on the edge, I think Corinth got a lot more.  I was watering the display area when the first storm went by giving us just a few drops.  I had watered it Friday so those drops were enough to make me decide to quit and see if another on would give us some rain.
JR has said he was going to come up and do some more weed whacking as soon as haying was done.  Yesterday he said he'd come up tomorrow, he isn't planning to do anything today.  Sounds like the rest of the hay crew has the same plan!  Tomorrow is good for me. Today i'll clip and mulch around some sections/plants i don't want weed whacked.  Even with helping Doug hay JR has kept things looking nice.  We've had enough rain so things are green and i've been able to keep the flowers looking good.
Looking forward to a day with very little watering, should get lots done.  Hoping your day goes well, Sally
