Darel's day went well yesterday with the parade in the morning and several people stopping by for one thing or another. When I closed at four we went for a ride, ending at the Creamery. Last night we went to the town fireworks. With the funeral today we won't try to go to church. Debbie is going to the funeral with us to help push the wheelchair. Darel wants to go to the visitor and funeral. And says we are going to Miller's this evening.
Mostly I watered yesterday, mostly Debbie dead headed flowers. Tis an ill wind that doesn't blow some good. I've not been happy about so many flowers left. I was very pleased to be able to fill Gilbert's big trailer with bright flowers to put in the tents and around the yard at Miller's for after the funeral. Mary loved flowers.
I picked a bushel of squash and a bushel of zucchini but not many cucumbers. Heather put several one pound bags of green beans in the cooler. With this heat I need to go change the ice first thing. Gilbert took a freezer and refrigerator down to Millers, someone else also bought another refrigerator. They filled the freezer with ice. they want to make sure they can keep food that should be cold cold.
So glad the thunderstorms will be gone by late afternoon. So glad Doug and Nicole rented a hall for Nicole's family reunion. Thunderstorms and tents don't do well togather.
Give thanks for your blessings and cherish your love ones, Sally
