Darel had a bad experience yesterday.  It is a noteworthy day when he uses the phone, he has a hard time understanding what is said.  There was a call from Sally Smith, he answered it thinking i needed something and was calling from one of the other phones. When he pushes 4 on his phone my cell phone rings.  he pushed four, I hurried in.  He was upset, I was going to lose my license and he couldn't understand why or what I was supposed to do to prevent it.  Even as he was telling me he realized it was a scam. The caller ID said my name and our number.  I was so angry, there seems to be nothing we can do to stop the scum from using our phones for their dirty work!  Other than that he had a pleasant day, ending it with the usual ride to the Creamery.
The vegetable season has started.  Heather bought new potatoes and peas for the stand yesterday. We'll meet at the Creamery during the week to for fresh vegetables to refil the coolers.   I picked zucchini and yellow squash.   The bees were very busy pollinating the squash and cucumbers.  Some of them had found the newly planted cutting garden.  It isn't large but there will be a nice selection. of flowers.
Lil Mike and Jordan put a couple of loads of wood in the garage.  Good to know that there will be wood all dry for next winter, i just don't like to think about next winter.  I'm enjoying summer.  Son Mike swept the garage floor.  Where we drive the truck in and out in all kinds of weather that is a big job.  I was very thankful Mike did it!
We spent some time talking about next year's orders.  The first seed order is due the end of the month.  As is the soil order.  The supply order is due August 15th.  The season marches on whether we want ir to or not!
      So enjoy today, Sally
