6/20/19
Forget what you expected.  Find joy in the life you are actually living.

Calm, clouds and haze and 58 degrees.  Possible showers this morning, rain this afternoon, tonight and tomorrow morning.1-2 inches expected.  A light SE breeze with a high of 64 and a low of 57.  A stiff north breeze tomorrow with a high of 66 and a low of 557.  Partly cloudy Saturday with a NNW wind, a high of 73 and a low of 57.  Sunny Sunday with a NW wind, a high of 78 and a low of 50.  Sunny Monday with a NNW breeze, a high of 77 and a low of 50.  Partly cloudy Tuesday with 40% chance of showers later in the day and overnight.  A South breeze with a high of 75 and a low of 55.  Scattered thunderstorms Wednesday and next Thursday with south breezes, highs about 75 and lows about 57.  Possible showers or thunderstorms through the weekend and into the next week with highs in the upper seventies and lows in the upper fifties.  Not good haying weather.
Darel had a good day yesterday, walked out to the greenhouse twice.  Early in the week he needed a ride both ways.  He enjoyed a ride to the store and Creamery last night.  He has had breakfast and is ready to start his day.  But I was tired and slept until 5:45 so he is getting a slow start.
Wednesdays are usually slow at the greenhouse but not yesterday.  Thankfully Sally Jo was here for a couple of hours giving me a lunch break and chance to finish repotting my scented geraniums.  I was even able to get a little done in the kitchen garden.  In the afternoon i planted some sun flowers between customers.  By the horse barn, not in the maze.  I saw Nicole  planting seeds in the maze last night where the birds had eaten them or the seed didn't germinate well.
Doug missed this past week of good weather, ten feet into the field the mower broke down, a major breakdown.. Parts on Monday and two days of work the mower is ready for another break in the weather.  Yesterday he got lumber to build a roof off the barn to park loaded wagons under when it showers. He has talked about it for a couple of years.  It looks like it will be needed this summer!
Even with the haze this display area is beautiful with all the flowers bolloxing.  As some flowers get sold other ones are coming into bloom to take their place.  Perennials and shrubs are starting to bloom too.  I'm surprised that hummingbirds are still coming to the feeders.
JR tilled for the cole crops yesterday.  I will plant them today.  I like planting in the rain, no bugs and I don't have to water as I plant. Some for us, lots of Brussel sprouts for the chickens next winter.  Heather is growing for the stand.   Have a good day, Sally
