Darel had a quiet but pleasant day yesterday. Raymond Freemen visited, helping pass the time. not sure what i did alll day. the get to gather room looks empty as i've moved plants and a table used as an office table out to make room for the tree and our family gathering Christmas Eve Day. It is all decorated except for the tree. On to the rest of the house today.
I did do some research on why some lilacs don't bloom. Usually it is because of too much fertilizer. Generally all they need is some wood ashes. They need the blooms cut off as soon as they are no longer attractive. Otherwise the next years blooms may be damaged. If a lilac is overgrown cut it back over a three year period. Lilacs are so easy care i have never given instructions with them. I think i will this year.
Have a good day, Sally
