Darel had a good day yesterday.  Good numbers, a ride in the morning by going with me when I got a haircut.  We picked Sally Jo from after school activities so no hunting yesterday.
Our niece in Anchorage, Alaska didn't have any trick or treaters because a moose spent the evening on her porch eating pumpkins.
I pulled the sun flower stalks in the kitchen garden yesterday.  The birds had emptied the heads of seeds.  I trimmed the rose bush back enough so I could get to a feeder that is a favorite of the cardinals and grosbeaks.  The rose  needs a lot more pruning but I'll do it in the spring.  The birds like the thicket it makes.  A Wm Baffin rose on the north side of the house, leaves all frosted and still blooming!  Besides feeding it some coffee grounds and banana peels I do nothing for it except prune it back.
I mulched the Logan berries.  To smother weeds and grass down, they don't need any winter protection.  Mulched some parts of the thyme bed for the same reason.  Weed whacked around the red tool shed so it will be easy to shovel out come spring.  With the Logan berries and thyme done the shrubs that didn't sell can go in their winter quarters.
So many things planned for rainy day i don't know where to start!  .40 inches of rain now.  Have a good day, Sally
