Darel had a pleasant day yesterday.  Lunch at church was canceled so we went for a ride to return bottles.  The nurse came in the morning, the chaplain in the afternoon.  He could have asked the chaplain to come early so he could hunt but he said no.  The nurse said they belive that the a fib is now causing blood to pool some in his heart, causing small clots and the irregular pulse. His arteries are a problem already so he having a lot of tias and some miner strokes.  We are thankful he has no discomfort and the "events" no longer seem to be causing the confusion they were awhile back.
Thanks to the town and churches offering trunk or treats the only trick or treaters were Sally Jo, Annabelle and Ayden.  I think the trunk or treats are a good thing but we miss seeing all the local little ones.
I cleaned out most of the annual flowers.  they did very well.  the roots were so large and strong i had to dig most of the flowers out.  The soil was full of worms so they had plenty of food.  Lots of buckets of frosted plants for the compost pile.  i haven started on the kitchen garden yet.  I leave several of those plants for the birds.  A female cardinal visited yesterday.  Lots of finches, chickadees and nut hatches.  As many purple finches as gold finches this year.
A hair cut this morning.  Than more clean up.  I need to pull the pots of water lilies from the pond and put them down cellar.  The pond isn't deep enough to be sure they will live.  Enjoy your day, Sally
