10/26/18
If you choose to not see beauty in the snow you will have less beauty in your life but you will still have  the snow.

Some clouds breezy and 30 degrees.  Clouds this morning quickly giving away to sun, a WNW wind with a high of 41 and a low of 23 tonight.  A Nor'easter moves in tomorrow afternoon lasting into Sunday morning with significant ENE wind and rain.  Tomorrow's high will be 40, the low 33.  Sunday's high is forecast to be 53 as the winds become ESE.  A low of 36.  A SSW breeze Monday with afternoon showers, a high of 52 and a low of 36.  Partly cloudy Tuesday with a brisk NW breeze, a high of 45 and a low of 31.  Afternoon showers Wednesday with a light WSW breeze, a high of 47 and a low of 38.  Showers the next five days, The 31st through the Sunday the 4th.  Highs will be in the low fifties, lows in the low forties.  Pleasant Monday, the 5th, with a high of 48 and a low of 35.  Than more days of showers with highs in the mid forties and lows about 33.
Darel had a comfortable and quiet day yesterday.  He had chance to catch up on the sleep he missed Wednesday.  His pulse was very low last night so we were very glad the pellet stove was working.
I had a long day yesterday but a good day.  i got everything on my list done plus a few extras.I have to move a table to take the bottom chill trays out of my refrigerator and wash them.  Not only did they need washing but somehow they came off the track why everyone was here.  I got them all cleaned and back on track because little mike climbed to the top of the apple tree and picked the good apples.  We don't spray so the only apples that don't have some kind of problem are the ones that hang on to the top of the tree.  They don't keep if they fall and bruise.  the ones that have fell go for applesauce and get frozen for pies.  Now I'll have fresh ones for muffins, salad or eating.
I plan to plant garlic the last week in October.  With the warm forecast for the first week in November i'd  better watch the forecast and plant later.  i don't want it to sprout.  it has been on the rafters in the garage.  I got it down so i could bring it in tonight.  Than back out to the garage until planting time.
The rest of the herbs are on the drying rack.  I guess the contrast of the white snow weighing down the bright green parsley had a certain beauty.
i need to prepare Sunday's Sunday School lesson.  I try to get it prepared and on the table in the class room so if i don't get there on Sunday it is easy for someone else to pick it up and teach.
       have a good day, Sally
