The rain kept washing out Darel's TV yesterday, he kept fooling with the remote until it wouldn't work and he had to call Gilbert to come fix it. He was doing well enough to call Gilbert himself. In the evening he wanted out so we went to Countryside where he got a crab melt sandwich.
Darel spent much of the day sitting out here listening to Tamarra work on spring orders. The mum order isn't due until February 1st but by January we won't remember what we want to order. Some of the same, some new. I needed to get the fruit tree and shrub order done. i had already ordered fruit trees. Even by ordering early in September i could only get five large cherry trees. I ordered six foot whips. That is what i usually order but some people wanted larger. It was good i was getting the order done. i couldn't get some shrubs in the size i wanted. They are not carrying peegee hydrangeas any more, there are so many new hydrangea. The pollinators don't care for the new hydrangeas and peegees are a favorite around here. Neither of the other nurseries that I by from had them either. So I ordered some seeds. Seeds will take awhile but maybe I'll have some eventually. i didn't get roses ordered. I'll order them Monday afternoon when the rain moves in.
i could work on the rose order now, it is very foggy and wet out. But the flocks of geese flying over headed south, the chickadees back at the feeders and the weather report say I need to get the plants in the greenhouse that are coming in the house moved in.
Have a good day, Sally
