Another day with good numbers for Darel.  thanks to the rin Doug and Gilbert spent quite awhile visiting in the morning.  Darel always enjoys sitting and listening to his sons talk.  A chaplain visit highlighted the afternoon with a visit to the Creamery last night.
Yesterday I changed the ice in the coolers, filled the stand, and spent the rest of the day working in the front yard.  I had dug the grass out a week or so ago but some grass and weeds were still showing themselves.  Every tine I drove in the driveway or went for the mail that yard bothered me.  I planted some perennials in the blank spaces but mostly I dug out weeds and grass and put down a thick layer of newspapers with mulch.  I still have a little mulching (weed smothering) to do.  I have some more perennials I want to plant as a front border and iIm going to plant crocus bulbs.
Today I have an eye checkup in Bangor.  Darel is going to go with me.  I'm hoping that I don't have to wait very long for my eyes to recover enough from dilating to drive.  Tamarra will be here to tend the nursery.  Starting next week everything will be self service.  Right now i'm going to do a canner of pears that should have been done yesterday.  It was a beautiful , soft, warm day with a south breeze.  i enjoyed myself and admired my work last night!  Enjoy your day, Sally
