Darel had such a good day yesterday that he spent quite a bit of time visiting on the phone. In the afternoon we enjoyed visits from friends. In the evening we went to Countryside for a sandwich and the Creamery for desert. Couldn't miss desert, my sister had given us a gift card.
I was thinking about cutting the blooms off the little peegee hydrangea I planted. No need now. A friend bought me a bunch of big beautiful blossoms from her's. I put them in my grandfather's old wooden tool box. So pretty!. Still might cut some to pile in a basket, they last all winter.
The only thing i got done was canning a canner of quarts of pears. Tammara got all the perennials moved away from the plum tree that needs to be cut down because it has black knot to bad to just cut out affected branches.
Back to work today. Picking up apples this morning why it isn't raining to make applesauce. I'll go check the Wealthy apples for apple pie. I can make pie from the applesauce tree but it doesn't make as good pie. I'd like to think I'll finish the pears this afternoon. Enjoy your day, Sally
