8/4/18
You have a choice each day.  Choose to feel Blessed.  Choose to feel thankful.  Choose to be happy.

Choose to hear a soft rain on the roof at 4:50 and go back to sleep until six.  Only .04 of rain so far but rain and scattered thunderstorms are forecast for all day.  A light east breeze now, a north breeze later with a high of 72 and a low of 61 tonight.  Sunny tomorrow with a light west breeze, a high of 87 and a low of 66.  Sunny Monday, some clouds Tuesday with brisk SW breezes, highs of 92 and lows of 68.  Scattered thunderstorms Wednesday with a WSW breeze, a high of 84 and a low of 65. Partly cloudy Thursday and Friday, more sun Saturday, with NW breezes, highs of 84 and lows in the low sixties.  Possibly a shower next Sunday with a light west breeze, a high of 84 and a low of 61.  Pleasant the week of the 13th, though thee may be some thunderstorms the end of the week.  Highs will be in the mid eighties and lows in the mid sixties.

Darel had a good but quiet day yesterday.  He ventured out to the garage but soon headed back to his air conditioning.  He did want to go to Countryside for a steak and cheese grinder for supper.  When we got back I picked blueberries.   I got 5 quarts picked before dark..I picked some yesterday too so there aren't too many getting rained to the ground.

Heather bought out some carrots for the stand.  I always wash everything but she is of a different generation, checks on line for the best way to sell them.  On line says that they will stay fresher if the dirt is just brushed off and they are washed just before eating.  Her gardens are all organic too but her vegetables never have to share space with a weed;  She is having rodent trouble too, many customers are complaining about woodchucks, chipmunks and red squirrels this summer.  Always something.

Doug's daughter Bekah, is getting married today in Mount Vernon.  Heather took our gift.  Sad to be missing another wedding but an all day outing would be too much for Darel.

Have a good day, Sally
