Pleasant Labor Day weekend with highs in the upper seventies and lows in the mid fifties.
Yesterday Darel's numbers were everywhere but where they should have been and his feet and legs are very swollen but hi was comfortable and enjoyed a trip to the Creamery last night.  Choose a baby cone instead of a regular.
I cut the weeds along the edge of the sweet potatoes before they fell over into the potatoes.  I'm hoping lots of vines means lots of potatoes.  i walked through the squash patch.  Lots of squash and some of it may be ripe.  I won't pick any until the end of next week,  I think it is better to let these warm, sunny days ripen it too perfection.  We will have pumpkins to put with your mums for Labor Day decorating.  Lots of peppers, tomatoes seem to be ripening slowly but i have some on the stand.
The perennials display is all spiffed up, showing off all the choices we have .  And the mums are looking good.  i have to pick cucumbers first thing.  If it isn't raining yet I'm going to do some planting.
    Have a good day, Sally
