7/3/18
Parenthood requires love not DNA.

Fog, clouds, light SW breeze and 62 degrees.  Sunny and 92 this afternoon with a WSW breeze and a low of 66 tonight.  Sunny tomorrow with a west breeze and a low of 66.  Sunny Thursday with a stiff south breeze, a high of 94 and a low of 72.  Thunderstorms Friday with a brisk west breeze, a high of 78 and a low of 54.  Sunny Saturday with a brisk NW breeze, a high of 76 and a low of 52.  Sunny Sunday with a NW breeze, a high of 80 and a low of 56.  Pleasant the entire next week and weekend with highs in the eighties and lows in the sixties.
Darel had a comfortable but boring day yesterday.  He did walk out to the greenhouse but no customers came why he was there.  Soon he headed back to the TV and air conditioned front room.  I was outside doing something after supper.  As I came in he meant me with "lets go to the Creamery".
My back had about had it with planting yesterday.  There were plenty of weeds to pull and plants to water.  flowers, mini pumpkins and gourds are all that's left to plant.  We'll get them in before it heats up today.  The new planting of cucumbers are taking off.  I soaked them so they will weather this hot spell.
I did plant some left over morning glories yesterday.  I'll be planting left over flowers as the week goes by.  Tomorrow morning we are going to Andrew's to watch the boat parade on Boyd Lake.  Then i'll come home and water.  At night we are going to Gilbert's camp to watch fireworks.  The firework display on the lake rivals any display.  So many people are setting them off.
       Have a good day, Sally
