Darel had a good day yesterday, third in a row.  But boring.  We got rained out of the garden so about five I asked him if he wanted to go to town. Silly question!  By 5:10 he was sitting in a chair in the garage waiting for me to close.  My idea to go to town because one of my watches had a dead battery and the other a broken band.  I was lost without a watch.  Stopping and pulling my phone out of my pocket just didn't cut it.
We spent most of the morning working on next year's flower orders.  One discount seed order has to be in by the 31st.  A pleasant job for a rainy morning.  In the afternoon we pruned and tied up tomatoes and weeded until we got rained out.  Picked some small peppers that were touching the ground and some cucumbers.
Today I'll do more weeding, pick berries and hope it dried up enough to pick beans this afternoon.  With tomorrows forecast i'll have to pick them even they aren't totally dry.  Too long a list for such a hot humid day.  I won't want to be going anywhere tonight.  Andrew dropped off a dish of ziti so i don't have to cook.
Customers who feed the birds are talking about how many birds are coming to their feeders.  We have so many I'm not keeping the feeders full all the time.  It is summer, they need to hustle up natural food.  Some people can't leave their feeders out because of bears.
     Have a good day, Sally
