4/5/18
Life doesn't allow us to go back and fix the past but each day it does allow for us to live each day better than our last.

Wind has died down to 13m mph average with 26 mph gusts after 40 mph plus during the night.  Mostly clear and 19 degrees.  Some clouds today with continued west winds, a high of 32 and a low of 16 tonight.  A strong SSW breeze tomorrow with a high of 42 1-3 inches of snow possible tomorrow night with a low of 31.  mostly cloudy Saturday with a brisk west breeze, a high of 43 and a low of 25.  Mostly cloudy Sunday with a strong NW breeze, a high of 40 and a low of 21.  Mostly sunny Monday with a NW breeze, a high of 44 and a low of 24.  PM showers Tuesday with a stiff SSE breeze, a high of 43 and a low of 41.  AM rain/snow Wednesday with a north wind, a high of 46 and a low of 27.Partly cloudy next Thursday with a SW breeze, a high of 52 and a low of 35.   Partly cloudy next Friday with a stiff west breeze, a high of 47 and a low of 34.  Lots of showers the next week with highs in the mid fifties and lows in the mid to upper thirties.
Darel had a very quiet day yesterday.  We did go to the lunch at church.  Other than that he rested, even had the TV off some of the time.  He slept peacefully last night.
At four I was so afraid we would lose power I decided to water the greenhouse.  if the power went off we couldn't get the generator going fast enough to keep the hose from freezing.  Watering the greenhouse was first on my to do list this morning.  With no water plants would start wilting.  So that job is done for today.  And the sun is shining on the greenhouse.  Even though the sun is strong now as cold and windy as it is I may not be able to run the exhaust fan.
Enough snow has left so that our Paris Farmers Union order can come this Monday.  With the change in temperatures next week people are going to want compost to top dress.  Everything will be here for people building raised beds.  Plus all the pretty Coast of Maine bags will shout "spring".  Thursday i'll move the pansies out.  Just in time to transplant the peppers and put them where the pansies are.  The pansies will be glad to get out, the greenhouse is too warm for them.
     Have a good day, Sally
