Darel enjoyed the Sportsman Show. Said there was too much to take see to take it all in. He was tired but would have liked to gone to Family night at church but I couldn't leave the greenhouse fires that long. Greenhouse Fires versus last night's cold and wind: Greenhouse fires won. 60 degrees on the cool end, 65 on the warm end. We can go to Sunday School and church because the sun will help the fires why we are gone.
I ran the exhaust fan a little when I came home yesterday. I'm hoping to run it 2 or 3 times today so the plants have entirely fresh air. The humidity was sixty all night which is considered perfect. All the plants look good. the creeping phlox under the bench along the east wall aren't getting enough sun. Tuesday as the the temperatures start to moderate Andrew will shovel the snow away so the sun can shine on them. for now it is helping keep them warm. there is so much snow behind the house I can't get to the feeders. i 'm just throwing sunflower seeds on the snow. But without that snow i'd be worried about my dishwasher freezing with these cold NW winds.
Have a good day, Sally
