A bad chapter does not mean your story is over.

Darel did not have as good a day yesterday as he has been having but he and Doug have plans to go to the Sportsman's Show and he IS going!  I am going to the annual greenhouse meeting.  I'll put wood on the fires as I drive out the drive and Gilbert will check on them at two.  The sun is strong enough now to keep the greenhouse warm, eve on a cold day.
We ran the hoses yesterday and I watered everything except the plants under the benches.  They aren't getting much light now with the snow.  With the winds and high temperatures I'm leaving the snow there for insulation.  Andrew will start shoveling it away Tuesday night.  The fertilizer injector is injecting a natural liquid fertilizer into the water as I water the plants. The wave petunias are peeking over the baskets.  In two weeks it will be time to prune them.
Back to taking hot water out to the hens for a few mornings.  Perhaps with these cold windy days they will be happy to stay in the hen house and not be trying to get out the door.  the long days must be telling them to get out and forage.  they haven't seen the snow.  We had plenty and we wound up with a little over two feet more with this last storm.
Looking forward to a good day, hoping you have a good day too, Sally
