1/7/18
It is no small thing to enjoy the sun, to love, to live life.

12 below, a few clouds with WNW wind.  The wind will very slowly die down  to a  breeze this afternoon with a high of 9 and a low of 3 tonight.  1-3 inches of snow tomorrow with a gentle SSW breeze, a high of 21 and a low of 18.  Some clouds Tuesday with a WNW wind, a high of 31 and a low of 8.   Sunny Wednesday with a light WSW breeze, a high of 26 and a low of 19.  Cloudy Thursday with a SW breeze as the temperature rises to 38 with a low of 35 to usher in our January thaw.  Rain is forecast for Friday with a high of 41.  Rain will change to snow as the temperature drops to 23 Friday night,  to ice Saturday as it raises to 28' dropping to 1 at night.  A WSW breeze Friday,  strong NE breezes Saturday.  Morning snow showers next Sunday with a NW breeze, a high of 24 and a low of 8.  Sunny next Monday with a Nw breeze, a high of 17 and a low of minus 1.  Sun and clouds with some snow showers the rest of the week with seasonable temperatures and NW breezes.
Another quiet day here, thankful the front room is warm.  Darel's pulse were erratic early but fine later in the day.
I fixed meals, did laundry and took care of hens yesterday.  Everything else was set aside as i worked on the seed order.  I got it done at nine last night.  I still had to run the dishwasher, lots of snow against the back of the house has kept it from freezing but I thought it was a good idea to run it.  I was thankful every time I turned on the water in the barn and it ran.  I took hot water out to the hens but ran the water anyway.  The pellet stove is turned up so it is burning more pellets.  Another load is coming this week.  Everyone is talking about the hole this weather has put in their wood pile.
Gilbert just bought more wood in for me.  Thanks to the wind he had to get up early to plow his driveway so Tiffany could go to work.  He had to plow it last night so she could get home.
Sun is shining, when it gets high enough to shine in the windows I'll shut the pellet stove off to clean it.  The wind seems to be dying down a little.  Have a good day, Sally
