Yesterday was a good day.  In the afternoon Darel said he was tired of the house and of cream of wheat cereal.  He wanted to have some Farina and thought Hannaford at the Airpot Mall would surely have it.  It just happens that is the store that has the fried chicken he likes so much!  On our way hime home i went to Mike's and picked up some boughs to finish outside decorating.  He had several firs go down in the storm.
I got all the returned pots and trays picked up before Darel wanted to go to town.  When we got home I got all the pieces of the Village out and put some in place,  It isn't a large village but getting it all set up will be a work in progress for a few days.  I was happy to find my large metal angel packed in the village.  The pellet stove doesn't get very hot, a perfect spot for the angel.
I  want to take advantage of the few warm days we have left to finish decorating outside and do some more mulching.  I have some places I want to lay cardboard and cover it with hay to smother grass and weeds.  The worms will migrate to the warmer soil under the card board and eat the decaying grass and weeds.  Late May it will be ready to plant without much work.
Today I clean and fill all the feeders including  the niger seed feeders for the finches.  I didn't want to fill them before the rain and have the seeds get wet and freeze.  The heated waterer is attracting more and more birds.
     Have a good day, Sally
