10/17/17
Be strong enough to stand alone, smart enough to know when you need help. and brave enough to ask for it.

32 degrees in front of the house, 32 in back where the morning glories are with a west breeze,  The breeze will blow all day with lots of sun, a high of 55 and a low of 41 tonight.  The west breeze will be brisk tomorrow with sun, a high of 64 and a low of 41.  Sunny Thursday with a stiff WSW breeze, a high of 70 and a low of 48.  Sunny Friday with a strong WNW breeze, strong enough to be called a wind at times, a high of 62 and a low of 41.  Sunny Saturday with a west breeze, a high of 66 and a low of 42.  Partly cloudy Sunday and Monday with SW breezes, highs of 71, a low of 47 Sunday, 58 Monday.  Showers are forecast every day the rest  of the week, through Sunday, the 29th.
Darel had a good day yesterday.  He did not spend the day with his feet up until the soccer game like he was told.  If that right foot is still swollen I'm going to tell on him when the nurse comes.  It was cold at the game.  Darel feels the cold much quicker now, he was glad Gilbert has arranged for us to park the truck on the sidelines.  A tie game was called after two overtimes.
Darel had a restless night so he is still sleeping.  I slept until six.  I picked the rest of the peppers yesterday and most of the grapes.  There are still some out there for the birds.  Neither the peppers or grapes had been frosted yet but they probably are now.  It is too early to tell if the morning glories are but there is frost on top of the truck.
I am thankful we have at least two more weeks to get ready for freeze up.  I'm not pleased that I will probably have to water everything.  I do hope that week of showers forecast holds true. The rule to plant garlic the last week in October if freeze up holds off.  No problem this year.
      Have a good day, Sally
