Darel enjoyed the family get together yesterday, sitting out in the garage with us for a few hours.  He was tired last night, we were both in bed by 7:30.
All I did for yesterday was bake a cake and make lemonade.  A chilly enough day so lots of lemonade was left.  mike grilled ribs for his birthday.  Why all the guys were here the pellet stove got move into the front room.  they had to bring it around to the front door.  Andrew will hook it up.  We have an electrician coming to run wire for a new outlet.  We need it for the stove.  I've been going to have a new outlet put in there for a long time.  The electrician says it needs a new wire and breaker. The electrician is a neighbor and doing it for free so I know he isn't making it into more of a job.
Three tiny finches came to the feeders yesterday.  So tiny that at first I thought they were hummingbirds.  They were vey shy, hiding in the rose bush except when they darted out for seeds.
Andrew opened up the pallets of soil yesterday and took off the top two layers.  now the man who is working for me can put the bales away without using a ladder to get started.  I'll have him put twenty bales a day away, that way they will all be put away by the end of the week.  I will spend today doing odds and ends before the frost tonight.  I don't know as we'll get a frost around the house but i'm sure the garden will get frosted.
It doesn't just feel like a wind out there, it is blowing 25 to 30 mph. Fall is blowing in!  have a good day, Sally
