If you have a family that loves you, a few good friends, food on the table and a roof over your head you are rich.

Power was out about four hours yesterday. No idea why. By the time it came back on I didn't have time for the computer. Darel is doing well, more progress every day. Had a few TIAs but he was unaware of them and they had little affect. We are sleeping in our bed now. Even though it has a pillow top he goes back to the hospital bed with its flowing air mattress when i get get up.
Relatives in Florida live in an area that is not flood prone but they are sandbagging their house. Their windows are boarded up. Across the country people can only pray the wildfires miss them. And Jose is right behind Irma!
Meanwhile we are trying to get our summer's bounty in jars and the freezer. The pears on the second tree pear tree are ripening. I haven't checked the second plum trees. I've put up 99 pint jars of plums and pears. Mostly they will go in my morning smoothy.
The door to the pullets yard didn't get shut last night. A skunk was eating from their feeder when I went to go in to shut it. I wondered, a lot of their feed was getting spilled. It is asking for lead poisoning. There seems to be no end to them this summer.
Lots of finches are back. The sunflower seeds are ripening. Yesterday they were sitting on a feeder eating seeds from a sunflower head.
Stay safe, enjoy today, Sally
