May we be grateful to be alive as we look forward to where the Lord leads us today.

Cloudy, 67 degrees with a north breeze.  A strong NW breeze today with a high of 67 and a low of 41 tonight.  Sunny tomorrow with a NNW breeze, a high of 64 and a low of 38.  Partly cloudy Saturday with a NNW breeze, a high of 61 and a low of 38.  Sunny Monday with a light north breeze, a high of 73 and a low of 45. Sunny Tuesday with a SSW breeze, a high of 73 and a low of 50.  Partly cloudy Wednesday with a WSW breeze, a high of 78 and a low of 54.  Morning showers next Thursday and Friday with ENE breeze, a high of 76 Thursday falling to a high of 70 Friday.  Lows of 51 Thursday, 47 Friday.  Pleasant next weekend with highs about seventy and lows in the low fifties.  Showers the week of the 9th.

     Darel had a  quiet day yesterday with only a minor "event" in the morning.  By afternoon he was walking around with his the help of his walker.  In the evening we rode over to Countryside for a take out hamburger.  He has lots of visitors today, the CNA this morning, his nurse and the social worker.  The social worker comes by every three or four weeks to make sure no one is being mean to him.

      I pulled the old calendulas and sun flowers from the side garden.  Unfortunately they had smothered the zinnias but the  dahlias are pretty.   I may put some mums in the bed if I have time.  I also cleaned up the flower beds under the get together room windows.  And fixed the hose that waters them.  Getting the weeds and dead flowers out and watering made a big difference.  I've already got soaker hoses running. this morning.  I am glad for this cooler weather and i'll be glad to see a week of showers.  A woodpecker eating suet kept scolding me for being by his suet.  Kept on eating though.

      Neighbors are complaining about skunks.  So hope they stay at the neighbors, at least until after the wedding!
