It is a poor carpenter who blames his tools for a shoddy job.

 52 degrees, overcast and calm.  A light west breeze today, clouds with a high of 73 and a low of 48.  Partly cloudy tomorrow with a west wind, a high of 72 and a low of 46.  Partly cloudy Friday with a NW wind , a high of 72 and a low of 46.  Sunny Saturday with a WNW breeze, a high of 73 and a low of 46.  Likely showers  Sunday with a stiff SSE breeze, a high of 66 and a low of 53.  Pleasant Monday and Tuesday, stiff SW breezes, highs about 79 and lows of 56.  Possible morning showers Wednesday with a SW breeze, a high of 74 and a low of 55.  Showers more likely Thursday with WSW breeze, a high of 69 and a low of 49.  Partly cloudy Friday, the 8th, with a WNW breeze, a high of 69 and a low of 48.  Possible morning showers Saturday, the 9th, with a brisk WSW breeze, a high of 69 and a low of 48.  Pleasant the next four days with highs about 70, lows about 48 and mostly west breezes.

      Darel watched TV for awhile yesterday, the first time since Memorial weekend.  He also worked doing exercises to strengthen his legs.  I no longer have to lift his legs in and out of bed for him to sit up.  And he usually is able to sit up without help.  Slowly, it is hard for me not to lend a hand.

      I didn't get much done yesterday.  The nurse came on her regular visit and we talked about what we could do to help Darel be more independent.  She is going to see about getting a physical therapist to visit.  Meanwhile our CNA has some pt training.  Because we do so much for Darel she is going to have her do some PT on her visits.

       Doug has a family of coyotes in one of his hay fields.  Right now they are probably helping by eating turkeys.  Seventy or eighty turkeys have eaten or trample half of a large field, no second cutting on that half of the field.  From what he has seen past winters he knows what the coyote family will do to the deer herd here;

     Rachael has spent the last two days soaking the mums, perennials, fruit trees and shrubs.  She starts school next week so that will become my job.  And i don't see a lot of rain to help me.  Some plants leave everyday, that helps.  Today and tomorrow she is going to bump perennials are in quarts up to 600's for next year.

     My 2018 supply order is done.  I've started on my nursery order. I had to order peach and the sweet cherry trees a few weeks ago because they always run out.  One seed order is due if I want the early discount.  I'm not ready to be through with this summer!
