Yesterday was a good day. Gilbert bought Darel out to the blueberry patch with me why I picked two gallons of blue berries. Today Doug and Nicole are going to church with us. Big Andrew will be here to help Doug get in Darel in the truck. Lil Andrew will be at church to help Doug. We are looking forward to worshipping with our church family.
Harvesting is in full swing, in the garden and the hay fields. I'm not putting much food by this year, spending time with Darel instead. So far I've just picked and froze berries.
I haven't had time to pick my green beans, others are glad to pick them so they don't go to waste. Gilbert has picked and froze all the green beans he needs so Lexi and Justin are going to pick the rest of his and Nicole is going to can them. Gilbert usually cans his beans but hasn't had time this year. And Nicole never go a garden in. All the family have changed their ways of doing things to help care for Darel.
Even though this spring didn't seem good for the bees they did enough work so it is a good fruit year. Lots of berries. Gilbert and Barbie have put over a hundred quarts of berries in their freeze from their young berry patch. The plum and pear trees are loaded and there looks to be plenty of apples. We will have our own fruit this winter, all organic.
Time to get started on our morning, we will leave for church at quarter to nine. Have a good day, Sally
