We did go to church with Doug and Nicole. Thanks to Doug and a couple of strong grandsons getting in and out of the truck went well. We enjoyed the church service but miss our church and church family. Darel has asked ii they could take us to our church next Sunday. Darel's tia's are becoming more frequent. He is not aware of them though he'll comment that he doesn't know why he is so shakily.
Though I'm closed Sunday's I had several customers yesterday afternoon. It is confusing to stranger because the vegetable stand is open. One customer bought several perennials for their camp. Next time they are bringing their truck to take plants home to MA. They don't know of a bee friendly nursery in MA. I did get blueberries picked but not the raspberries. Today's job, after some watering.
Two grosbeak fledglings awkwardly flew in yesterday morning and stayed on the feeder for hours eating. From the yellow under their wings I think they were evening grosbeaks. And like evening grosbeaks they are gone today. We are seeing very few female gold finches, they must be sitting on eggs. Last night a skunk checked out the cement blocks but moved on, must have decided it was too much work to dig under them.
Last night for supper we had sliced tomatoes and cucumbers for supper. With zucchini. I try to fix it different but zucchini or summer squash is at nearly every meal. Two tomatoes left so Darel can have some for lunch. The tomatoes come from the hoop house. By the weekend i hope to have tomatoes on the stand.
Have a good day, Sally
