Today I get to leave the hoses out when iI water the greenhouse! Never have I been able to leave them out so early in March. Sun is coming up but I need to go put wood on the fires. The temperatures has already risen two degrees. The drive way is bare but there is still ice on the path to the greenhouse. It is on the north side sheltered by the heartnut tree. It is good I've had spiked boots but I'll be glad to stop wearing them today.
Today we'll set up a table in front of the only window that doesn't have plants in front of it. It is time to bring the plants out of the cellar. The begonias tubers go out to the greenhouse. I'm afraid there might be hitch hiking insects in the vegetation of the other plants so I'll keep them in the house. I don;t want to take the chance of taking anything into the greenhouse.
Red winged black birds were at the feeders yesterday morning. They were mostly eating seeds that had fallen to the ground. They must have moved on, this morning there are some grackles. No large flocks, just a dozen or so.
Have a good day, Sally
