Even though the red poles  left as suddenly as they came I had to refill the bird feeders at noon yesterday.  The birds will be as glad as me to see this ice gone.   Rachael was complaining she was going to "break her neck" between the house and greenhouse.  I even have to walk careful with my spiked boots.
We are almost through planting the shipment of seedlings and the ones I started in the house.  Rose will finish today why I'm at a church meeting.  She took off during the week so she could be here today in case there are so many clouds the fires have to be kept going.  Tiffany and Gilbert are going to the Maine caucus.  We have one box of plants coming this week.  i went through seeds yesterday, choosing the ones we need to plant to start another round.  The end of next week we'll have lots of seedlings from the seeds I started on the heat mat when we started the greenhouse fires.
Several years ago Gilbert and Barbie gave me a small weather station, it has died.  It wasn't fancy, the anemometer kicked out at thirty or thirty-five mph and would not read higher speeds but I've really enjoyed it.  I suspect like everything else they are lots of money now, I haven't looked.  I might see what just an anemometer costs.
I got my new dosetron, the device that mixes the fertilizer with the water, set up.  I use a natural fertilizer that goes in the water whenever I water the plants.  I was told the waves and some of the newer flowers would only do well with the high powered chemical fertilizers.  They were beautiful last year, very healthy with vibrant colors.   None for the pansies for another week, their culture instructions say no fertilizer for two weeks after transplanting.
Sun is shining, lots I want to do before I go to church.  Have a great day, Sally
