Lots of sales yesterday, lots of watering. We open at nine, Bekah is waiting on a customer. It is 7:15.
Yesterday the pumpkins around the kitchen garden got planted. Mostly pie pumpkins, some small white. Last week the area was covered in new cardboard and hay to smother any bamboo sneaking through last year's cardboard. The pumpkins were planted in a mix of soil and chicken manure in tires.
Some perennials were moved around, more mulching was done under the horse chestnut tree. We are trying to get rid of the goutweed, some call bishop's weed, that grows there. Maegon planted the boxes in front of the garage and the flower beds by the barn. We're making progress!
This morning I'm meeting a customer in Milo with a large order. We do not deliver! But this is a regular customer who is a hospice volunteer. She is in a situation where she is putting in a lot more hours than usual. If it is raining when I get home I'll clean the house. If it isn't raining, more planting.
May your day be blessed, Sally
