Yesterday was a busy day for me. In the morning I finished getting zucchini ready for the dehydrator. I have more zucchini and tomatoes to dehydrate.
In the afternoon I went to Bangor with a long list, getting home at dark. Today will be busy too. I'll be keeping the dehydrator going. A young man is coming to help me finish off the bamboo. Maegan and I have cleaned up the storm damage and lots of the bamboo is gone. But the season is ending. I'm slow. Maegin has her school bus job and her trailer to redo. Yesterday she finished opening up the walls for the electrician. He is coming today to put in the new wiring. She was very pleased to find that the insulation is in excellent shape.
If the man works out well Jay is going to hire him to help in the greenhouse. A lot of greenhouses don't accept plastic pot returns. We understand why, there is a lot of sorting and cleaning involved. Country Junction believes in recycling as much as possible so we do. They have been overwhelmed by returns this year. Fall brings a lot of other work too. Such as cleaning the wood cook range and chimney so we can switch back to wood for our hot water and cooking. The heat will feel good these chilly mornings. Bekah started the pellet stove this morning.
May your day be blessed, Sally
