I mulched yesterday. Where Maegin and I cleaned out the bamboo and forsythia were already re sprouting. A piece of plain bamboo stalk was sending out a sprout!. There is more mulching to do. I did some clean up around the Memorial Garden too. I have a doctor's appointment this morning, I'm hoping to get that garden planted this afternoon. This morning I watched two male orioles in the honeysuckle vine sipping on the blossoms. Thankfully I was just standing at the window looking out.
When they weren't helping customers Jay planted vegetables, Maegin mowed lawns and Bekah watered. Bekah is also empting the greenhouses and cold frames. We're glad to have the sun and warmth but the plants need extra TLC to stay healthy. Bekah is glad I'm getting flowers planted. less for her to water.
The second order of bees isn't coming until the ninth. Which is ok. He ordered another super, which is coming today. He can put it together on Saturday when it rains. Then the new hive will be ready for the second cluster of bees.
May your day be Blessed, Sally
