Even though the weather wasn't nice the mums all got planted.  They had to go out after supper to finish them.  Winter wasn't kind to the mum water lines but Jay got them all repaired, ready to use when  the weather dries up.There was a steady line of people buying flower and vegetable seedlings.  They want to be ready to plant when it warms up.  Maegin made a double batch of strawberry-rhubarb muffins, and they are selling well.  I was able to dry 3 loads of laundry, the fourth had to go in the dryer.  I'm looking forward to next week's dry weather.
I found lots of perennials in the kitchen garden when I dug dandelions, pulled grass and yanked out bamboo.  I'm happy they survived last year's neglect..  Tomorrow I'll prune back the forsythia bush.  Then I'll mulch the cleaned out section with newspapers, cardboard and some of the hay that banked the house last winter. Lots of cardboard on top of the bamboo roots.  Next will be restoring the  William Buffin Rose.  It needs a lot of pruning.  I've never had to tie it up but thanks to that storm I will this year.  I don't want to cut it all down!
May your day be blessed, Sally
