5 /17/25  Instead of wondering when your next vacation is, maybe you should set up a life you don’t need to escape from.

Yesterday's highlight was a call from Keith saying he and Tami had their tickets to come visit in August, the same week as Kevin and Eileen.  All my boys will be together for a week!  When Kevin and Eileen got their tickets I told the family  to mark their calendar.  Yesterday everyone got told again!  I wish my Alaskan grandchildren could be here too.  Even without them "family" will mean 50-60 people will be here off and on that week.  Especially the weekend of the 16th and 17th.
Another load of hay was loaded yesterday.  Besides loading hay they laid down plastic, helped customers and Bekah watered.  Sunshine means Bekah watering!  They sold so many perennials they spent some time rearranging. Maegin didn't get the transplanting  done she had planned on, maybe today.
The first shipment of 10,000 fly predators came.  We don't spray for house and barn  flies, a company sends us shipments of tiny bugs that lay their eggs in fly larva,  We do put out fly traps to catch any flies that hatch.  And we try to keep the place clean and dry.  We went a few years without the predators and had so many flies we decided they were worth the money.  They don't work on black flies.
The "Loop" is getting to you later some days.  Early morning is our catch up and planing time,  I show Bekah emails.   This morning there was the notice that the shipment of fall mums will come Wednesday.  The old hens lay their eggs early.  They all think they should lay their eggs in the same nest.  I collect eggs a couple of times in the morning so none get broken. We are still using the cook range so it needs attention.  I put a teakettle of water on early to make tea.  I make two gallons of iced tea everyday, on hot days I make more. I make it with stevia and lemon juice.  It looks like we'll be letting the cook range go out at the last of the month.   We open at nine, the first customer was here at 7:30.
May your day be blessed, Sally
