After school I took Ammabelle for a haircut then we stopped and visited a friend. On the way home we stopped for pizza. Hometown pizza in Corinth, neither of us had been there before. It was clean with friendly service and very good pizza. I should have boxed eggs when I got home but didn't. So of course a regular customer came early! They are boxed now. And tea is made for iced tea. It is summer in the greenhouse, we are going through lots of cold tea.
By late afternoon when UPS delivered the boxes of plugs and cuttings the hay was all loaded, ready to be delivered on frozen ground this morning. Bekah was able to get the plants unpacked and watered from barrels of water that had been sitting by the wood stove getting warm. The trays and pots were all filled with wet soil yesterday. By getting them ready yesterday the soil warmed up overnight, ready for the little seedlings this morning. They will double in size over the weekend!
As soon as the hens lay a dozen eggs I'm headed to my sister's in Dover . I have a doctor's appointment late this morning and she asked me to bring a dozen eggs. As fast as the chickens lay eggs people are in line for them. We try to make sure we have eggs for our regular customers before putting any in the egg refrigerator for self service.
May your day be blessed, Sally
