When I went out to feed the birds this morning I found ice.  There is lots of bare ground but anyplace that looks like snow is ice.  I threw the seed on the ice.  Later when the warmer temperature softens the ice I'll fill the feeders.  The mess that the early December  storm made of the kitchen garden is looking worse as the snow melts. I'm anxious to get started on cleanup but  I can't do much at a time.  As I look at that mess I'm thinking I'll need help.  As we clean I'll
There is a very short window to prune the blueberries.  I think I'll start walking out there and pruning a few bushes each day. as I want  to start walking more.  Jay is going to prune the grapes.  Not only are they a lot more work to prune but they weren't pruned last year.  The Japanese beetles love grape leaves.  We are going to try the germanium control method with them.  If we plant another cherry tree this year we will plant geraniums around it.
The water has drained away from where it backed up and ran in the greenhouse.  We can see the pond again.  Did it damage  the perennials around the pond?  Or the shrubs?  The water wasn't there very long.  Time will tell.  Perennials have already had a hard winter because the ground was bare for so long.
I already had a customer for eggs.  Chickens do not go on daylight savings time so they haven't laid any eggs yet.  May your day be blessed, Sally
