4/3/24 Mistakes are part of the game. It's how well you recover from them that matters.

Overcast with little breaks of sun, calm, 31 degrees.  An ENE wind today, fewer breaks of sun as the storm moves closer, high of 46.  An ENE wind tonight with 1-3 inches of snow, a low of 29. Strong ENE winds tomorrow and tomorrow night with a high of 35, a low of 34.  3-5 inches of wet snow, be prepared for power outages.  Rain/snow Friday and Saturday, lighter ENE winds, highs about 39, lows about 32.  Morning clouds/afternoon sun Sunday with a stiff NE breeze, a high of 47, a low of 28.  Sunshine Monday with a brisk NW wind, a high of 56, a low of 52.  Partly cloudy Tuesday with a north breeze, a high of 51, a low of 30.  Partly cloudy Wednesday with a west breeze, a high of 58, a low of 37.  Some showers next Thursday and Friday with stiff SW breezes, highs of 59, lows of 42 and 37.  Pleasant the next four days with highs about 50 stiff westerly breezes, lows about 34.

Yesterday was a beautiful spring day.  As you might guess from the lateness of the Loop it was also a very busy day.  We all accomplished a lot and are much closer to making the Switch of homes after the storm a smooth move.  We are also prepared for the power to go out.  I'm sure once again the weather will cause Verant to cancel the meter switch.  so we will be running two generators and not be able to use the new water pump.  Which means I can't use the cook stove.
The chicks are supposed to come today or tomorrow.  We are planning to brood them in the house so we can run their brooder lamp off the generator.  Walking through the storm to check on them even if we didn't lose power wouldn't be pleasant.  the babies will be comfortable and we won't be worrying about them.
When it becomes more overcast Bekah will start transplanting peppers.  Newly transplanted pepper plants wilt easily if they get any sun.  If the sun is shining they need to be covered with newspaper as soon as they are transplanted.  There will be about 1500 of them.
This will be another busy day.  May God be with you, Sally
