When my mother died I emptied her house.  She was an accomplished seamstress.  Dressers of sewing supplies were moved to my upstairs.  That was years ago, I have hardly touched the surface of all the supplies.  Yesterday Bekah bought the contents of two dressers down to me.  I sorted them.  Some things the girls took, some went in the Salvation Army box, some were tossed.  Most went in boxes for a friend that sews as much as my mother did.  The contents were a lesson in true frugality for my granddaughters.  They think I am frugal!   Along with new sewing notions were carefully sorted parts of worn out clothing that could be reused.  She grew up during the Depression, nothing went to waste.  She was green long before being green was in style!
My birds enjoyed a peaceful day.  The flock of blackbirds moved on.  I'm sure another flock will take its place.  If we get the snow in the forecast there will be lots of birds here looking for food and water this weekend..
May God bless you on this day, Sally
